Meanwhile, Galadriel arrives at Dol Guldur and kills an Orc attempting to murder the imprisoned Gandalf, while also lifting the spell of concealment over the ruined fortress. The nine Ringwraiths then reveal themselves and converge on Galadriel and the wounded Gandalf. The other members of the White Council appear, Elrond and Saruman, who then battle the Ringwraiths while Radagast arrives and escorts Gandalf away. Sauron then comes forth and tries to tempt Galadriel, who responds with a display of power and casts Sauron and the Ringwraiths from the fortress. Saruman assures Elrond that Sauron is not a threat without the One Ring and tells him to take the weakened Galadriel to safety while he deals with Sauron.
