ABOUT THE SHOW

The Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) is an eclectic mix of pop culture from the East and the West. We offer a kaleidoscope of comics, toys, games, manga, anime, cosplay and collectibles with a line-up of industry heavyweights, latest pop culture releases and non-stop stage entertainment. Attendees get to score limited edition drops, coveted autographs from celebrated comic artists and rare selfies with popular cosplay personalities, and geek out as they experience the best of pop culture that we have to offer. The last STGCC 2017 attracted over 50,000 fans from around the world. They played host to 408 participating brands and were attended by over 300 international media from online, print and broadcast. In September from 08-09, STGCC 2018 is held at the Marina Bay Sands (http://www.singaporetgcc.com/RXSG/RXSG_SingaporeTGCC/2017/images/about/enjoysg-banner.jpg?v=636388935414721799) - Sands Expo and Convention Center, Level B2, Halls D, E and F. Wait for the coverage of XM Studios (http://www.xm-studios.com/) statues or like Ben Ang said "I would say the show will be one of our best to date."

"XM will be at Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention - STGCC - the largest pop-culture event in Singapore aka XM's hometown! Do mark down 8 and 9 September on your calendar as we will be revealing lots of new products that have never been shown before. Such as the DC Rebirth 1:6 line, 1:3 Alien (sculpted by Narin himself!), 1:10 Megatron, lots more new MARVEL statues and a SSSSECRET PROJECT that will be unveiling for the very first time. The Secret Project is something that the XM team are super excited to be unveiling at STGCC!

Может шизой повеет, но КМК часть явления "Супергеройства" (не всё и не со всеми естественно) со всеми этими сверхспособностями и (почти всегда) презентабельным видом - этакое обожествление человека, парафраз политеизма, скажем античного, где тоже были сверхлюди-полубоги со сверхспособностями - Геракл, Ахиллес, и т.д.
(Ну а некоторые персонажи вроде амазонки Чудо-Женщины или Аквамена с трезубцем так и вовсе недвусмысленно отсылают к первоисточникам).
Это не хорошо и не плохо, просто наблюдаемое явление.
(У нас сейчас не теократический строй как на ближнем востоке, и не антитеистический, а светский, хоть адепты определенной государственной модели, включающей в один из столпов пеноротый антиклерикализм, обожают протаскивать предпоследнее из упомянутого под видом последнего. А значит - плюрализм, с расчерченными рамками изъявления. Бывают конечно закосы до сих пор, но походу это видимо и фича и баг нашей ментальности).
Ну, вобщем, по сути ты прав - часть супергероики это переложение языческих (говорю это без какого-либо окраса, просто как определение) мотивов в современную форму.

"If you was at the STGCC 2018 and asked the guys what would be your favorite piece 90% said the XM Alien 1/3 statue. And you know what, they are all right. No idea if i can handle this piece to my collection, but the sculpt and specially the paint are outstanding! They are still thinking about the paint to add more black. Look at the last picture, sweet! You can open it and take the cat out, 3rd little statue! Have fun to watch, next pictures will be Batman Shogun."

"Like i said yesterday at STGCC 2018 two statues are standing out for the most collectors. First the XM Alien 1/3 and the second was XM Batman Shogun on Horse 1/4. Will never forget the first second i saw him. It looks in person majestic and very impressiv. The size from the horse is huge, you can´t feel it on pictures. The details are all over the piece, very nice and fine texture on the cape. For me one of the best from this line and a true centerpiece. Well done! Have fun to watch, next pictures will be from Deathstroke. "

"Badass! Found no better word for him. He is for me the No. 1 villain from the Rising Sun line! The XM Deathstroke 1/4 statue has stolen many other statues the show at STGCC 2018. The pose, paint, aggressivity, style and base fits perfect. At the moment they are working on the unmasked head, was just not ready for the convention. Can´t wait to display him and my Batman Samurai together. Have fun to watch, next pictures will be from the Batman Sanity diorama."

"At STGCC 2018 the new base from XM Spider-Man 1/4 statue was showed. Now it looks much more balanced between the statue and base. Really like the new design from the base in size, sculpt and paint. "Let´s take a look at the Guardians of the Galaxy with the XM Rocket & Groot 1/4 statue and XM Star Lord 1/4 statue. Sculpt and paint are very nice. The pose from Groot is point on for me, you can feel the POWER from this character. Little Rocket on top waiting for more fighting, perfect. Star Lord jumps out of the destroyed cockpit, was taken down in fight. To my own surprise i like the comic version, because my GotG time started first with the movies. Have fun to watch, next pictures will be from the Transformers."

"Now let the big boys play, Transformers. Silence, open mouth and wide eyes. That´s what happend to myself after i saw this statues for the first time in front of me. The XM Megatron 1/10 statue, XM Optimus Prime 1/10 statue and XM Starscream 1/10 statue are massive in every way. No need to repeat, but the details and sculpt are well done. The stand alone jet for Starscream feels like an real 1/4 statue from the size. Just awesome, everyone! Have fun to watch, must see which pictures are next."

"We start the last STGCC sharing day with the XM | LBS statues. There is Captain America 1/3 and from the Impact Line Juggernaut 1/7 and Spider-Man 1/7. Cap in 1/3 scale, comic verison, coming with switchout heads and arms. Alright! With the Juggernaut you can see the power from the Impact Line. The base shows so much going on in an amazing amount of details. Same for Spider-Man, will show his power after he is painted. Have fun to watch, must see which pictures are next."
